The Interim School of Alta, UT
Spring 2005
The Little Cottonwood Canyon Interim School was created ten years
ago to provide an education for the children living up Little Cottonwood
Canyon. We can hardly believe that this is our tenth year and we
have been a part of the community so long. Looking back we realize
how unique it has been to grow up in this environment. Thinking
outside the box, we learn so much more than what average kids learn.
Avalanche classes, watersheds, snow, open political discussions,
religion, and film festivals are only a few of the extra curricular
things we do. The support of the community has helped make it possible
and we appreciate it so much. Love of skiing, snow, and mountains
has brought us all together to ski in Little Cottonwood Canyon.
Skiing is the reason why we live here...and a love for nature and
the ways to enjoy it. Art is the medium in which we can express
our interpretations of nature- both of ourselves and of the Earth.
We are grateful to Wasatch Frame Shop for allowing our work to be
displayed, and feel honored by this opportunity.
